Decision Making

When you need to make a decision, start typing it in the jotting view and similar graph nodes will appear. This will remind you of everything related to the important decision to let you make a much more informed decision rather than a blind one without context.

Planning

Plans are constantly evolving based on different factors. You can use Constella to lay them out on the graph and create connections to create a flow between how you want things to unfold.

Then, each time you want to consult your plan, you can search again in the future to see any other related factors that might have come up. Since it is not a static document, you can also pull the planning steps into other groups of connections and perhaps create micro-plans off them.

You can also play with the indirect connections to see any unanticipated discoveries.

Journaling

Use the jotting view to jot down your thoughts and ideas similar to a journal.

What separates this from a typical journal is that when you stop, it will pull any related thoughts from the past and show them on the left.

This creates refreshing discoveries such as when you find yourself writing about something you forgot you've already dealt with or if you are deep in a rut, something pops up that reinvigorates you. Or perhaps you are writing about someone and thoughts about them come up. Multiple possibilities for serendipity here.

Brainstorming

Just search around with the pin mode enabled to accumulate a bunch of ideas from different areas of your life. See how the connections are unfolding with the automatic graph arranging that displays the nodes logically aesthetically based on how they are connected.
